How to import a PRD from Notion or Google Drive and critique it
Connect Notion or Google Drive, choose the document, and run a critique without copying it over.

If your PRDs live in Notion or Google Drive, Thinkr can pull a document in directly and critique it. This guide covers both. It works on every plan, and each person connects their own account.
From Notion
Step 1, Connect and share pages
Open Critique → New. Under Select PRD, below Upload from file, click Import from Notion. The first time, the dialog says Notion isn't connected yet. Click Connect Notion.
Notion opens and asks which pages to share with Thinkr. Select your PRDs, or a parent page that contains them; sub-pages come along. Confirm, and you're sent back to Critique → New with the picker open.
Forgot a page? In Notion, open it, choose ••• → Connections, and add Thinkr. It shows up in the picker right away.
Step 2, Import the page
Search by title or pick from the recently edited pages, then click one to import it. Thinkr brings in headings, paragraphs, lists, to-dos, tables, quotes, and callouts. Sub-pages are listed by name but not pulled in, since each one is its own document.
From Google Drive
You can import Google Docs, Google Slides, PDFs, Word files (.docx), and text files (.txt, .md, .html, and similar) from your Drive.
Step 1, Connect your Google account
On Critique → New, click Import from Google Drive. A short explainer shows what Thinkr can access; click Continue to Google. Google asks you to sign in and allow Thinkr to open files you choose. Thinkr asks for that permission only, never access to your whole Drive. You come back to Critique → New.
Step 2, Pick the file
Click Import from Google Drive again. A Google window opens where you can browse your folders. Choose your file and it's imported; the window closes by itself.
Nothing opens? Your browser may have blocked the window. Allow pop-ups for Thinkr and click again.
A few things to know:
- Scanned PDFs (images of pages) have no text to read. Export them with selectable text first.
- Files up to 10 MB can be imported.
- Google Sheets and older .doc files aren't supported. Save the PRD as a Google Doc, .docx, or PDF.
Run the critique
Either way, the document appears like an uploaded file, with Preview and Remove. Set the Type and any Additional Notes, then run the critique as usual.
Very long documents are cut off to keep the import fast. If that happens, Thinkr tells you, so use Preview to check what came through.
Scan Notion before you draft
Once Notion is connected, the Context step of a new PRD can search it too. In Scan source, choose Notion, then click Scan workspace. Thinkr searches the pages you shared, reads the most relevant ones, and lists related PRDs, dependencies, risks, and stakeholders before the draft is written.
- Notion's search matches page titles, so Thinkr also checks your most recently edited pages. PRDs titled after their feature are the easiest to find.
- Results are saved with the PRD, so anyone who can open the PRD sees them.
- Scanning is part of the Team and Enterprise plans. Importing a page to critique works on every plan.
Google Drive can't be scanned: Thinkr only opens the files you pick, so there's nothing for it to search. Attach the file instead (below).
Attach a doc as context
Know exactly which doc the draft should build on? In the Context step, under Your documents, click Add from Notion or Add from Google Drive and pick it. You can attach up to three, with or without a scan, on any plan.
Thinkr keeps the start of each document (about 1,500 characters) with the PRD and uses it when drafting, so put the summary near the top. Attached documents show next to the scan results, and a rescan keeps them. Remove one with its × button.
Search Notion from the Coach
While you shape the brief, type /notion followed by what you're looking for, for example /notion pricing research. The Coach searches the pages you shared with Thinkr, shows the matches as a card, and reads the top few so its next question can build on them. Like the scan, this matches page titles.
Manage or disconnect
Open Integrations. Connected accounts show which Notion workspace or Google account they're linked to. Click Manage, then Disconnect to remove the connection. That also revokes Thinkr's access on Notion's or Google's side. Critiques you already ran stay in Thinkr.
Ready to try it? Open Thinkr and go to Critique → New.
